【摘要】:1.1Thisstandardpracticecoversaprocedurefordeterminingtheweakestdetectionpaththroughtheportalapertureandtheworst-caseorthogonalorientationofmetallictestobjects.Itresultsindetectionsensitivitymaps,whichmodelthedetectionzoneintermsrelatedtodetectionsensitivityandidentifytheweakestdetectionpaths.Detectionsensitivitymapssupportsensitivityadjustmentandperformanceevaluationprocedures(seePracticesC1269andC1309).Note1Unsymmetricalmetalobjectspossessingaprimarylongitudinalcomponent,suchashandgunsandknives,usuallyhaveoneparticularorientationthatproducestheweakestdetectionsignal.Theorientationandthepaththroughthedetectoraperturewheretheweakestresponseisproducedmaynotbethesameforalltestobjects,eventhosewithverysimilarappearance.Note2Inthecaseofmultiplespecifiedtestobjectsorfortestobjectsthatareorientationsensitive,itmaybenecessarytomapeachobjectseveraltimestodeterminetheworst-casetestobjectororientation,orboth.1.2Thispracticeisoneofseveraldevelopedtoassistoperatorsofwalk-throughmetaldetectorswithmeetingthemetaldetectionperformancerequirementsoftheresponsibleregulatoryauthority.(See)1.3Thispracticeisneitherintendedtosetperformancelevels,norlimitorconstrainoperationaltechnologies.1.4Thispracticedoesnotaddresssafetyoroperationalissuesassociatedwiththeuseofwalk-throughmetaldetectors.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.
