【摘要】:Thepermissiblelevelofheavymetalsincertaincoatingsisspecifiedbygovernmentalregulatoryagencies.Thistestmethodprovidesafullydocumentedprocedurefordetermininglowconcentrationsoflead,cadmium,andcobaltpresentinbothwaterandsolvent-reduciblecoatingstodeterminecompliance.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofleadcontentsbetween0.01and5%,cadmiumcontentsbetween50and150ppm(mg/kg),andcobaltcontentsbetween50and2000ppm(mg/kg)presentinthenonvolatileportionofliquidcoatingsorcontainedindriedfilms.Thereisnoreasontobelievethathigherlevelsofallthreeelementscouldnotbedeterminedbythistestmethod,providedthatappropriatedilutionsandadjustmentsinspecimensizeandreagentquantitiesaremade.1.2Onlypigmentedcoatingswereusedforevaluatingthistestmethod,butthereisnoreasontobelievethatvarnishesandlacquerscouldnotbeanalyzedsuccessfully,providedthatappropriateprecautionsaretaken.1.3Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletothedeterminationofleadinsamplescontainingantimonypigments(lowrecoveriesareobtained).1.4Ifleadispresentinthesampletobeanalyzedintheformofanorganicleadcompoundataconcentrationgreaterthan0.1%,smalllossesofleadmayoccur,resultinginslightlypoorerprecisionthanshowninSection.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardstatementsaregiveninSection.
