【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversbiodegradableplasticsandproducts(includingpackaging),whereplasticfilmorsheetisattached(eitherthroughlaminationorextrusiondirectlyontothepaper)tosubstratesandtheentireproductorpackageisdesignedtobecompostedinmunicipalandindustrialaerobiccompostingfacilities.1.2Thisspecificationisintendedtoestablishtherequirementsforlabelingofmaterialsandproducts,includingpackaging,usingcoatingsofbiodegradableplastics,as"compostableinmunicipalandindustrialcompostingfacilities."1.3Thepropertiesinthisspecificationarethoserequiredtodetermineifproducts(includingpackaging)usingplasticfilmsorsheetswillcompostsatisfactorily,includingbiodegradingataratecomparabletoknowncompostablematerials.Further,thepropertiesinthespecificationarerequiredtoassurethatthedegradationofthesematerialswillnotdiminishthevalueorutilityofthecompostresultingfromthecompostingprocess.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotdescribecontentsortheirperformancewithregardtocompostabilityorbiodegradability.1.5Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainstothetestmethodsportionofthisstandard:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatehealthandsafetypracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;NoequivalentISOspecificationsexistforthisstandard.
